Milk $7 a gallon?

THRIVE products allow you to buy at today’s prices!

Lexington, Ky. (WKYT) – A new year is on the way and it may bring in higher milk prices. Some experts predict the price could jump as high as $7 per gallon.

Milk costing $7 a gallon? Why such an increase? The current agriculture bill expired this summer, and temporary aid to farmers is set to expire on January 1.

Luckily I don’t have to worry too much about a possible price increase.  Most of our dairy is THRIVE freeze dried cheese and powdered milk.  Since these are shelf stable items I can buy at today’s prices and enjoy them years down the road.
Currently a gallon of THRIVE instant milk is $3.12 per gallon when purchased in one of our buckets. Unopened our milk has a shelf life of 25 years and once opened is good for up to 2 years.  If your family loves milk this is a great time and money saver.  Never run out of milk again!

Or if you are really dedicated you could buy a milk cow like my friend Jill at The Prairie Homestead!
